Hawks Badminton Club is based on the east side of Southampton and has been running since 2005. The Club runs from Deer Park Sports Centre, Sika Avenue, Botley, Southampton SO30 2HT and we are affiliated to Badminton England, the national Governing Body of the sport. We achieved our Premier Club accreditation in May 2017 and also gained Clubmark status which is Sport England’s nationwide accreditation scheme recognising high standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management in community sports clubs. The Club is nationally recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling training facility for all its participants.
The club actively encourages all players to enter tournaments in the local area as we believe competition is healthy for development and improvement in the sport.
Monday evening coaching sessions:
Hawks has approximately 35 players (boys and girls) aged between 7-18.
Training is divided into 2 groups based on age and experience: the younger, less experienced group train from 6.00 - 7.30 pm and the second more advanced group train from 7.30 - 9.00 pm on Monday evenings during term time. This division enables coaches to deliver training that is relevant to the needs of the group.
Training is regularly reviewed to ensure that the latest ideas and techniques are incorporated into a programme that is as interactive as possible.
Membership Fees:
Club fees are as follows:

Fees are payable by monthly standing order on the 1st of every month at a cost of £22.

A small annual Badminton England fee is required to cover insurance.

A 25% discount is available for siblings.
